Click here for more photos After the success of previous Batik workshop during SMU arts festival, SMUKI will organize another Batik workshop on 12th of March 2010 and it will be more exciting than ever before.
On the previous batik workshop, participants were given hands on experience to use the traditional “tjanting” or batik pens to create their batik drawings with wax on canvas and then colouring it with watercolours. The final results were then stitched together and showcased on the School of Economics Gallery. This time, however, the participants will not only get to draw on a simple canvas but also a chance to create their own personalized hand-drawn batik T-shirts (or even shoes!). Sounds cool!
