SMUKI has started the new term with a blast. Our very own freshmen orientation, Tour de Force, was a great success. A big thank you for all people who have supported SMUKI Orientation 2007 in any way or another to welcome our new batch of enthusiastic freshman!

Held on 25th of August 2007, SMUKI Orientation 2007 was a good opportunity for the freshmen to get to know with the seniors. During the first half of the orientation, the freshmen were divided into six groups to compete in an amazing race. Along the way, the freshmen must stop in each station to play games to get as many points as possible. The stations were spread out all over Central Singapore, encompassing important places such as the Esplanade.

 

The orientation ended with a buffet dinner and a show, which included performances from each group. The audience found most, if not all, of the group performances to be rather “thought-provoking”. Nevertheless, it was very entertaining. At the end of the show, we had the announcement and price-giving for the best OG.

To all survivors of this first ever amazing-race-style SMUKI Orientation – freshies and seniors alike. Special mention to ‘Pok Ame Ame’ for clinching the overall best OGs award!

SMUKI Orientation 2007 marks a start of new journey for SMUKI freshmen and another challenging year for the seniors. Many other events for SMUKIers are on the way. SMUKI is looking forward for your active participation.

Last but not least, let’s welcome the freshies with a nice BIG smile. See all of you in school
