"Balik Kampung!!!"

For those who did not come for the chalet, all of you have missed something BIG. The chalet was simply awesome – a great time to de-stress after your midterms. Wondering what happened during the chalet?

We started off the trip at school in the afternoon. After one-hour of waiting and some game of capsa, the bus came and picked us up. During the 45-minutes bus journey, Della taught us a really great song about Thomas. If you are interested in the lyrics, you can ask Della about them.

After we arrived in Aloha Changi, we had some get-together games. Everyone was going bananas at that time, resulting in several accidents. Nevertheless, we had a great time before having our barbeque. Talking about barbeque, I’d say that it was a spectacular feast – tons of meat and great drinks. Oh, did I mention those roasted marshmallows with lots of Nutella chocolate spread?

It was a coincidence that our beloved Vice President, Andy William, was having his 21st birthday at that time. Thus, we decided to prepare something special for him. Two of our fellow friends, Evina and Tara, volunteered to go “missing” at midnight. You probably may have guessed correctly what happened next. The birthday boy went outside to look for them only to find that a surprise birthday party was already prepared for him. We also had prepared a surprise birthday party for Sutayasa that night.

After the birthday parties, we played some games for the whole night. In one of the games we played, we were supposed to mention people’s names. If we made any mistakes, we would be given a card. For every two cards, our face would be smeared with margarine. At the end of the game, quite a lot of people had their faces covered with margarine. I was one of those few who were lucky enough to keep our faces clean.

Everyone was dead tired on the next day. Some even didn’t sleep at all for the whole night. Luckily we went back early in the morning so we could quickly have some good rest at home.

All in all, the chalet was a memorable trip. Everybody had lots of fun there and we got to know each other better. Even though the chalet emailer advertised that there would be some boy-girl chemistry happening during the chalet, somehow we could not see any chemistry developed back there. However, if you noticed something "unusual" back there, do let us know. We would REALLY appreciate these kinds of information.
